IFPL Update

 IFPL Update

At 01:00 on 8/4/15 Northwest Weather Zones 2 and 3 will drop back to an Industrial Fire Precaution Level of 2. Northwest Weather Zone 1 will drop back to a level 1.

This is because the fine fuels likely to catch a spark are rising in moisture, and so we think that by tomorrow those activities prevented by IFPL Level 3 can now be allowed.

The heavier fuels remain at record dry levels, drier than they were when the Scoggins Creek Fire broke out last year, so preventing a start remains very important. You can see these fuel moistures by clicking on the map of our area in the fuels consider condition tab of this site. Notice the thousand hour fuels.
