Due to increased fire danger and changing weather, the following
restriction is being put in place Effective at 0100 August 18th,
2015:
The Clatsop and Tillamook State Forests along with USDI Bureau
of Land Management in Northwest Oregon Forest Protection Association are
banning all campfires in the forest, including campgrounds, day use and
designated sites.
Open fires outside
of designated sites and campgrounds, including campfires, charcoal fire,
cooking fires and warming fires are already prohibited. Use of wood
burning devices, used in conjunction with temporary dwellings, including tents
and trailers, is prohibited. Portable cooking stoves using liquefied or
bottled fuels are allowed.
No campfires allowed on
lands owned by Oregon Dept of Forestry or the Bureau of Land Management north
of Highways 18 & 22, west of I-5, and east of highway 101.
