The Astoria, Forest Grove, and Tillamook Districts will
declare Fire Season on MONDAY, JULY 10, 2017, at 1:00 a.m.
Conditions have continued to dry out and the weather is predicted to keep us on
that trajectory.
Also note the “Area Wide” waiver from the Northwest Oregon
Area Director has been approved, which will continue with our practice of a 1
hour fire watch under IFPL 1; 2 hour fire watch under IFPL 2; and a 3 hour fire
watch for IFPL 3.
The Districts are at full staffing. If you have any questions, please contact your local unit

If you have done so already, now is the perfect time to inventory your fire equipment to
ensure it is in good working order, review your fire plan, and double check water
hole locations and conditions.
