Fire Season Update

Fire Season remains in effect. Recent cooler weather has greatly reduced fire risk, however we are not done with fire season yet. Areas of the forest are still at risk of fire. Campfires are only allowed in designated locations and burning is not allowed without a permit.

Today Washington County is lifting the county wide burn ban. This will allow some agricultural burning in the valley outside the Forest Grove protection district boundary. This burning is light fuels that are difficult to burn in wetter weather. Forest fuels remain dry and we are not permitting forest slash burning until we get some more moisture.

For more information on burning regulations, go to the burn information page of this blog.

We are not yet issuing firewood permits, but will be soon. Check back here for information - you will see it here first.
