Fire Season Update

Rain. Finally. Over the last couple of days, the coast range has received about an inch of rain, region wide. A mild weekend is predicted, followed by a cool, damp week next week.

We remain at IFPL Level 1 in NW zones 1, 2 and 3. While this rain has helped, it is still fire season and we are likely not done with fires yet. East winds are still a very real possibility and we need to continue to take precautions and be fire ready.

For public use, restrictions on the public also remain in effect. No campfires outside campgrounds, no smoking outside of vehicles, etc.

No debris or slash burning yet either. This is because the east winds are still very likely, and these burns could easily spread beyond property lines and damage neighboring properties.

As next week goes by, we will monitor the short and long term weather and post updates if there are any changes.
