Fire Season Update



The cool wet weather and rain have taken the edge off fire season. Most locations across the forest have seen over 2 inches of rain in the last week. Fuel moistures have risen to 23%, a level we have not seen since early June. The forecast for the weekend and early next week is very wet, further improving conditions.



We are talking about the end of fire season. ODF staff and NWOFPA Board members will be discussing this early next week after seeing if the weekend weather predictions come true and seeing the extended forecast. Check here for updates. We will also send out information by email.
